From a young age, Joe Swindell had an interest in buying and selling farm equipment. Shortly after graduating from Knightstown High School in 1971 with only $1,500 to operate on, he hit the road West. He set out in a 1970 Ford F350 equipped with a wooden flatbed, oak loading ramps and a come-along. With his attitude, work ethic and knack of finding quality equipment it didn’t take him long to build a solid reputation in Central Indiana. Since then, his passion has only grown, selling equipment clear across the globe. Nearly 50 years later, Swindell Farm Equipment, LLC is still going strong and employs Joe, his wife Jennifer and their sons Mike and Wes.
